Membership Information

RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP NOW!

Effective January 1, 2012, all members with dues in arrears will be unable to access certain member benefits. However, your login credentials (email address of record and password) remain valid and will permit you to login to your account for the purpose of renewing your membership status. See below for more information on membership renewal.

MSPA presently has more than 600 members. Over 30% of membership is at the doctoral level. About 60% of MSPA members are also members of NASP. The Maryland State Department of Education recognizes the NCSP certificate (or equivalent level of training) as the entry professional level for school psychology in the state of Maryland.

By submitting this Initial or Renewal membership application, you agree to the following two statements:

I verify that the personal information submitted is accurate & that I meet the eligiibilty requirements for the membership indicated.
I further affirm that I will conduct myself professionally in accordance with MSPA’s Principles of Professional Ethics (adopted from NASP).
Persons submitting initial applications for Active membership between Jan. 1 & June 30 may be eligible for a reduced fee of $35.00 for the first partial year. Dues for other members remain unchanged year round.

Please LOG- IN and select VIEW PROFILE (upper right corner) to Renew your membership. If you do not remember your password, it will be emailed to you at your email address of record. If you do not recall your email address of record, please contact the webmaster at webmaster@mspaonline.org. Please do not re-apply for Initial Membership.

If you are already a member of MSPA and wish to change your status, please do not reapply for membership. When the renewal cycle becomes active, you will have the opportunity to change your status (i.e. student to active, regular to retired).

Active New - $35.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st No recurring payments MSPA offers a prorated fee of $35.00 for NEW applicants between January 01, 2012 - June 30, 2012. Renewal will be due on July 1, 2012 at the full membership rate. Persons eligible for Active membership shall be currently certiﬁed as School Psychologists or Psychometrists, have previously held such certiﬁcation, be working as trainers in approved School Psychology programs, or be certiﬁed as Supervisors of School Psychology. Exceptions or special cases will be considered by the Executive Committee of MSPA.

Associate - $50.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st No recurring payments Renewals billed yearly. Associate membership shall be open to non-certiﬁed psychologists, non-school psychologists, allied professionals & retired persons interested in school psychology. Persons eligible for Active status may not apply for Associate status. Retired is deﬁned as being on ofﬁcial “retired” status with the Personnel Ofﬁce of one’s former employer and professionally inactive but not eligible for Retired member status. Associate members shall have privilege of the ﬂoor but no vote. They may serve in any capacity assigned by the President, with the approval of the Executive Committee.

Student - $20.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st No recurring payments Renewals billed yearly. Student membership shall be open to any graduate student interested in school psychology but not yet certiﬁed for practice. Student members are required to upgrade to Active when certiﬁed. Persons eligible for Active membership may not apply for student status. Student members have privilege of the ﬂoor but no vote in Association matters.
